It was, in fact, 1982 when Cav. Marcello Olivo took his first steps in the home carpet business, with a great desire to do business and a good dose of intuition. A dream that came true and later evolved with the entry of his sons Matteo and Francesco into the company in 1992 and 1997.
An evolution in terms of turnover, cubic metres of warehouse space, conquest of foreign markets and technology and innovation in the logistics and commercial sectors.

For us at Olivo Tappeti it is essential to ask ourselves this question and never be satisfied with the answer.
This was the only way we could further improve the exhibition system which makes it possible to set up a real showcase in the shop, an area dedicated to carpets that will be the jewel in the shop's crown.

We started from two needs: that of the seller, who wants to show as much merchandise as possible, and that of the customer, who needs to find what they are looking for easily and immediately, without the risk of getting lost among various products, ending up confused and even forgetting the reason for the visit to the shop (which results in a missed sale).

The key word is “order”: all the variants provided for displaying different types of carpets in the shop ensure that the result is a harmoniously organised composition.

The 20% more product on display

 
Our display facades are modular and each individual module is developed vertically and no longer horizontally as in the old system. The new system allows, in the same space, well six display lines, with three rows of hanging carpets and three horizontal shelves.
The advantages? Yes optimise space, eliminating empty areas and the carpets are arranged in an orderly manner, facilitating the visual perception of those scanning the exhibition in search of a specific product.
 

Variants

 
Kitchen, multipurpose, bath and doormat mats everything is arranged in such a way as to maintain the same line of the hanging bars, in order to leave the product display line unchanged.
In visual perception this will be particularly pleasing, inducing more purchase.
Even for rolls, there is a solution that maintains the same distance between the horizontal bars, so as to create a regular and orderly composition, even as the type of product varies.

Accessories... or fundamentals?

 

In a fashion look, accessories really do make a difference. Stealing the definition from fashion stylists, we would say that accessories are actually fundamental parts for the best results, even in the case of our exhibition facades.
We have come up with a series of elements that combine practicality and aesthetics, and will radically transform the look of the shop's walls.
Let's start with the stock covers, ideal for hiding from view the mats we will keep for restocking, and the price ribbons, also customised with neat graphics.
The classic kit for the exhibition is completed with racks and roll bars, with hangers and stands.
Designed to facilitate choice, guiding customer orientation, are the vertical dividers indicating the type of carpet, subdividing the products according to the rooms in the house and the function for which they are intended.

The extra touch is, finally, the floor adhesive which reproduces the dimensions of the main furnishings in the home, making it easy to identify the size of the carpet that best suits the specific context.

Branding

The “Signature Carpet” area of the shop should be distinguished by its aesthetic quality and ease of use, both for the end buyer and the business customer, i.e. the retailer.
For this we consider it essential to accompany the display systems with a truly comprehensive service, which goes as far as defining the specific characteristics of the individual shop display, based on the available space. The service is articulated in the advice on the construction of the exhibition wall, in the selection of products to be offered (based on customer characteristics, choosing from our rich catalogues) and in some online tools, such as the “store locator”, an information service that helps customers find the most convenient point of sale where they can find the products mentioned on the website or in the Signature Carpet blog.
The area of the shop dedicated to the display of carpets will therefore be completely “branded”, taking care of the layout in every detail, and must therefore be dedicated exclusively to Olivo Tappeti products.
