Disposal of Packaging and Environmental Compliance
In Olivo Tappeti We are committed to providing clear, transparent and rigorous information for the end-of-life management of our products and their packaging, at Full compliance with the latest European and national regulations.
How to properly dispose of our packaging (Legislative Decree 116/2020) Pursuant to Legislative Decree 3 September 2020, n. 116 (which implements the Directives EU 2018/851 and 2018/852We provide the codes below for the correct disposal of our packaging in the separate collection. We encourage you to always check the specific regulations of your municipality of residence.
Compliance Safety Packaging (EU Regulation 2025/40 - PPWR)
Olivo Tappeti guarantees that all its packaging materials placed on the market comply with the strict requirements imposed by the new Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste (PPWR).
In particular, the company holds the Declaration of Conformity (DoC) attesting to compliance with the concentration limits for heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium) and the absence of perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in its packaging, to protect the health of consumers and the environment.
Transparency on Materials

In order to ensure maximum transparency and prevent any form of informational confusion among consumers, Olivo Tappeti specifies that information regarding the sustainability of products (such as the use of recycled materials) is to be understood as valid only if accompanied by specific percentage indications and referring to the individual component of the carpet, as documented by the supply chain certificates in our possession.
Any logos or generic wording (such as "Let's Go Green"or"No environmental impact") historically present on some packaging batches that are nearing depletion they have purely aesthetic/decorative value and they are in the process of being permanently removed, Since they meet the strict technical standards for environmental reporting currently adopted by the company. Our products and packaging are considered "recyclable" only for the fractions for which the separate collection systems listed above exist and operate.

Some Olivo Carpets rugs and mats may have adhesive labels, informational cards, or paper components attached directly to the product or packaging. Depending on the type and packaging, these elements can be placed on either the front or the back and contain useful information relating to the product, its composition, traceability, or commercial instructions.
The paper components used fall into the following separate waste collection categories:

Some Olivo Tappeti products may include plastic components used for attaching labels, swing tags, or hangars intended for product display. These elements, applied during the packaging or commercial presentation stages, can be made of plastic or polystyrene material and are designed to ensure stability, practicality, and correct product identification.
Part of the packaging used for the wrapping and protection of carpets can also be made from plastic materials, such as bags or protective wraps.
Plastic components fall into the following separate waste collection categories:

- U-bolts hangers Category PP05 – PLASTIC COLLECTION
- Sacks and protective plastic packaging Category LDPE4 – PLASTIC COLLECTION
