For those who, like us at The Signature Carpet, like to talk about “Style and colour for your home ”, this season is definitely a rich dish.
This year it is even more so, thanks to a special edition “Supersalone” of the Salone del Mobile which in September 2021 brought design back to the forefront, indicating the main trends that we will see declined in our daily lives, both in the home - our “larger body” - and in fashion, which is nothing but a different expression of the same guidelines. Platinum Custom Rugs is present on the digital platform of the Salone del Mobile Observers start from the mega trends, or those broad themes that decisively characterise the directions that design will take.
There are eight of them:

• the sustainability,
• the biophilia (i.e. the desire to introduce many plants into the house),
• a rich palette, characterised by strong colours,
• the lightness of aerial structures,
• the search for order (and solutions for getting everything superfluous out of sight),
• i dividers,
• the need for new desks (the home is also a place of work)
• a friendly technology but invisible.

Style and colour trends

Colours for Autumn

 
We focus on colours: autumn is a riot of dense, full tones.
We see them in nature, with foliage providing amazing displays of shades of yellow, orange, red and brown.
The colour palettes seen at the Salon give preference to earthy colours, which return in richly coloured compositions to define lively environments with contrasting tones.
A pop effect is given by the use of primary colours, boldly combined, but more often yellow is ochre, orange is rust, blue is teal, antique pink is combined with turquoise, sand with Prussian blue. Vivid environments with contrasting tones There are many possibilities to play with these palettes.
The taste of the 1970s revival, evident in the colour choices and decorative motifs, may belong to us only in part, and perhaps not everyone appreciates modernism and does not feel the desire to reproduce the house that had been our grandparents’.
But the ideas remain interesting and also lend themselves to interpretation according to personal taste, of a more contemporary nature.

The desire for change, to surround oneself with an environment that is a spur towards a new season marked by recovery, will lead us to renovate the house, with small details or major revolutions.

All that remains is to create an original palette, starting with what cannot be changed, and choose colours to transform our homes at the pace of our evolving lives.
