Easy Friday by Olivo Tappeti

EASY-FRIDAY I change my life, and I stay in the company. It is a cautious choice, not meant to be a revolution but a small, and equally sustainable, change that will work.
The Americans, with their usual pronounced taste for naming (i.e. finding apt names for products and services, especially in the English language) called it “Easy Friday”. Basically, you finish work early on Fridays; “easy” stands for “easygoing” relaxed, or even “slack” (in the jargon of the very young).
In Germany, it is the rule for many companies, but the custom has never been able to spread, perhaps due to the lack of a catchy name.
The fact is that Easy Friday is now a rapidly spreading reality, and we in Olivo Tappeti we will adopt it shortly. Easy-Friday-of-Olivo-Well-being-at-work an opportunity for the well-being of all

EASY FRIDAY by OLIVO CARPETS what changes from December 2022

The decision came jointly from the management and employees, who approved a new timetable, designed to free Friday afternoons from the workload.

At the end of the week, one particularly appreciates having more time for family, commitments, relaxation.
On the upswing, everyone will certainly start off with more momentum. For the company it is an investment in people's well-being, while for the employees it is a benefit that makes Olivo Tappeti a better and better workplace. This is not a reduction in hours, but a different organisation of time.
Thus, from Monday to Wednesday the hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with a one-hour break for lunch), while on Fridays they will work from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a shorter break of half an hour.
To make this change possible, the organisation of space is also slightly modified: in the new OLIVO 2.0 building, a kitchen has been set up where one can dine in comfort.  Easy-Friday-of-Olivo-Carpets equipped area for a comfortable break

Welfare - feeling good at work

Easy Friday starts from a practical point of view and is a good solution to the problem of finding a balance between work and personal life, which in businessese is called “work-life balance“.
Work has its own contractual rules, as well as efficiency, from which it is difficult to escape.
We have experimented with working from home - which is not exactly the same as smart work - but it is not always possible or even convenient for the employee.
There are things, then, that simply cannot be done alone, from home. Fortunately, presence, closeness, are important, and positive, aspects that must be maintained. Some people even find the term “work-life balance” confusing, because it suggests that the two words are antithetical; a more holistic view, however, recognises that time spent at work is part of people's lives, and should therefore be valued.
They even go so far as to talk about happiness, and in some cases “happiness managers” have been born in companies.
It is undeniable that at work, as a living space and time, one should aim to be comfortable.
This is no longer considered an unnecessary waste, as the numbers speak for themselves: happy and fulfilled people have higher productivity.
Moreover, while productivity is a quantitative concept, today we are also increasingly looking at quality, both of life and work. Anyone with a few years of work under their belt will have experienced how their day changes when they work with satisfaction, recognition and appreciation, and in a context that takes into account the well-rounded person, thus including everything they want to be and do beyond work. Here, a more “easy” weekly timetable makes it possible to move from daydreaming to an achievable prospect where time remains available for people's different needs, for their private lives.
