Home is a safe and clean placeCarpets for the home are not all the same, and neither are the shops that sell them! Choosing from the manufacturer's catalogue might make one fear that he or she is bringing home a product common to the competition, whereas the best thing for a retailer is to be able to displaying a customised collection of carpets for the home.
This is possible when the supplier company is structured with a In-house Style Centre, just like a fashion house, which can be commissioned to develop an exclusive line. Our designers work alongside the customer to assess market trends in colours and subjects, as well as to define the technical characteristics of the product being made, and They then develop a product exclusively for the individual business customer.
The other ingredient we have identified for this successful recipe is the close contact with production centres, who respond promptly to our requests, even when they are very specific.
The result is a customised collection of carpets, which will always be “signature carpets”, but at brand of our client.
There are several ways to customise a product and make it unique: you can do it on the subject, on the packaging or by creating an actual line.
An ad hoc designed subject.
Our designers, interpreting the customer's intentions, develop a subject to be kept exclusive for the client.A choice of character, on the part of a brand, which can ensure a product in perfect harmony with its distinctive characteristics.
This is the case of a well-known Pet Store chain, which wanted to offer doormats dedicated to their four-legged friends, thinking that animal lovers would appreciate a subject of this type, even for the carpet on their doorstep. Naturally, the type of depiction is in line with the “tone of voice” of the brand, which is playful, young, carefree, and very design-conscious.

Packaging that stands out
Customisation can relate to packaging, to communicate the private label on a dedicated line. This is the concept of the “private label”, i.e. the store-branded product using a manufacturer to create its own in-house line.
In our example, a chain of homeware shops, we found inspiration in the curtains, already sold by the chain, which can now be matched with carpets that pick up on their subject matter and colour tones.
A winning strategy for our customer, which won over its buyers by offering a harmonious set of kitchen textiles. In this case, the packaging for the display rack in the foreground the chain logo.

An exclusive line
In the study of an exclusive product, the typical relationship between carpet manufacturer and the customer “contract”, for which some design or colour variations are reserved, limited production, accompanied by the guarantee of non-repeatability of the same composition for other customers.
We at Olivo Tappeti are able to do this by exploiting one of our most outstanding corporate features, namely the flexibility, given by a articulated structure (we manage the creation of carpets in-house from idea to design, through to the choice of suppliers and production control, and we take care of the entire logistics chain) and agile, capable of transforming itself to meet customer demand.
This gives rise to ideas every day that are beneficial solutions for both customers and our company.

This is the case of the “Rialto” line, furnishing carpets in cotton chenille, designed by the creatives of our Style Centre taking their cue from the trend that the luxury division Platinum Custom Rugs presents in the IMAGO catalogue.Made with the jaquard technique, in which the yarn is woven on several layers, it is designed as a bedside rug or for the hallway, but also for a very chic kitchen, in open space with the living room. On request, other patterns can be made and a specific colour palette can be chosen, creating an exclusive collection.
