white church stairs aisle It is the event of events, at least in the life of a bride and groom, and the colour that best represents it is white.
Too bad, as many women already know, there are plenty of white ones.
Were it not the colour of purity, and therefore chosen as the symbol of marriage, one could even say “50 shades of white”.
This is why choosing the “right” white becomes important to organise the dream wedding party that every bride deserves.
Relying on a wedding planner will take all thoughts away, but also do-it-yourself enthusiasts will be able to better orient themselves, and leave nothing to chance, thus creating the perfect ceremony.

The watchword: harmonise.
As we have seen in the case the organisation of events (of all sorts) it is essential to create a sense of harmony, thinking about all the details.
This also means choosing the same type of white for the dress, flowers and even the runner.
Far from being an element to be neglected, although it is a simple roll of carpet, it will take centre stage throughout the celebration, appearing in photos and videos.
That is why it is best to have an eye for the entire decoration of the venue where the wedding will take place. But let's take a step back and resume the ABC of colour.
White, from being a non-colour, actually becomes an infinite range of shades, and even for white we speak of cold tones and warm tones.
Every bride, thinking about her wedding, will start with the choice of a dress.
So the question to ask yourself is: which colour (and which type of white) suits you best?
Armoury comes to the rescue here (it may seem like taking an extra step backwards, but it is worth it).

Armachromy: the secrets of colour
Armochromy is defined as the science of colours, it helps to know which hues will enhance a person, the so-called “friendly colours” that will bring out their natural colours.
This is why it is widely used by image consultants and stylists. The various types can be traced back to four “seasons”, a subdivision that should not be misleading: it is only a definition of colours according to the principles of skin undertone (which will be cold or warm), value (i.e. dark or light shades) and intensity (saturation).
We start by analysing the skin, according to these principles, and the colour of the eyes and hair, as natural as possible (i.e. without make-up, but also without tan).
In short, this is how the seasons to which each of us belongs are described:
- Winter: cold skin undertones, dark value, high intensity. Those who belong to this group wear all dark colours well, or very light ones, and are enhanced by strong contrasts.
- Summer: cool undertones (it has nothing to do with the fact that it is hot in summer), light value and low intensity. Summer“ is for those with delicate skin, eyes and hair colours, and for these pastel, dusty shades are perfect, while vivid tones can be penalising.
- Autumn: warm undertones, dark value, low intensity. People in this group have warm, dark colours, such as brown, which are emphasised by equally warm and intense clothing and accessories.
- Spring: warm undertones, light value and high intensity. In the warm range, the colours here are light (light brown hair, light eyes, green). Their ideal palette is made up of warm colours but in a bright version.

White, white. We finally find ours!
Finding one's season may not be so simple, and in the case of weddings it would be advisable to consult an image consultant to make sure one does not make a mistake.
From the palette of friendly colours, we finally move on to analyse the range of whites, ranging from extreme cold - optical white - to natural, warm white.
For the two cold seasons (winter and summer), optical white clothes, like snow or ice, are recommended.
Summer may also bring slightly pinkish or bluish tones.
Whites for those with warm colours (autumn and spring) are those with yellow in them: ivory, cream (also champagne and cream for autumn), which will brighten up their complexion.
Everything in palettes
We are ready! At this point there will be no doubt as to whether we should go for one of the two big families: optical white or ivory.
The palette is composed starting from the bride's own season, and will include every detail of the setting of the location, from the church to the reception venue, starting right from the aisle to be walked to the sound of the wedding march.
This will not simply be white, but cleverly designed to match the dress and all the decorations, made up of bows, candles, flowers.
In the palette, in addition to white, you can include colour shades, or even an accent colour, which recalls and enhances the veins we have used to “dirty” our white.
Let's think, for example, of a bluish white that could set the theme for a blue wedding.
