To date, the company is considered the most reliable partner for distributors, retailers and interior design professionals working in the home sector, and it is with them and all its collaborators that Olivo Tappeti today celebrates with pride and immense joy this first great stretch of road travelled, which it does not consider a finishing line, but only the continuation of a story that began 40 years ago.
It was, in fact, 1982 when Cav. Marcello Olivo took his first steps in the home carpet business, with a great desire to do business and a good dose of intuition. A dream that came true and later evolved with the entry of his sons Matteo and Francesco into the company in 1992 and 1997.An evolution in terms of turnover, cubic metres of warehouse space, conquest of foreign markets and technology and innovation in the logistics and commercial sectors.
Since 2002, his wife Valeria's signature has appeared on all carpets, another fundamental part of Olivo Tappeti's history.
The Olivo family
Companies are made up of people. One often hears this, but in Olivo Group this idea is a reality, far beyond formal declarations.Finding each other, shaking hands, seeing the faces of those you only hear from on the phone or via email, catching up with colleagues, this time in a “big event” version: these are important moments, which give meaning to our being a team, and to feeling part of a wonderful machine, in which everyone does their best to achieve a result of shared satisfaction.
The first imprint of this way of understanding work comes from the founders, Mr Marcello and Mrs Valeria, who laid the foundation stone forty years ago of the splendid building that we can admire today.
And this foundation stone was precisely the value of the human relationship, which has remained as the cornerstone of doing business.
The pleasure of sharing an evening in lightness has clearly also been inherited by the sons, who now run the company.
For Olivo Tappeti's 40th anniversary, a party at the company was opted for, without sacrificing a hint of big-event glamour.
The guests were greeted by an unrecognisable courtyard, transformed by a “total orange” décor, the colour of an increasingly established brand, of that “signature carpet” that is recognisable and distinguished by its warm, bright tone.
Here then is the unmistakable “orange carpet”, on an evening when the Venice Lido the coveted red carpet is back. Another party, another lane, but the same is the thrill of walking down the catwalk, starting with the photo wall, which cannot be missed at a social event.
At the end of the catwalk, again the carpet under the spotlight, in the central stage area, where speeches, performances and group photos took place.
The festive atmosphere was provided by the presence of all employees, who participated with their families.There were those who met again and those who presented themselves for the first time.
The children were welcomed in a reserved play area (although the best attractions would come from the world of adults, to no one's surprise). Francesco Olivo, Group CEO, In his speech, he retraces the milestones of the enterprise he started from his garage at home, a detail shared by many entrepreneurial successes far beyond the North-East of Italy.
A success born of the dynamism and complicity of Valeria and Marcello.

Matteo Olivo, in his role as sales manager, pays tribute to the sales force, essential for the dissemination and development of the business, a calling card for retailers in the country.
At the big event for the company's 40th anniversary there are all the area sales representatives from all over Italy The Mayor and the Council of Carmignano di Brenta express their sincere appreciation for a company that has been actively contributing to the economic fabric of the town for a long time; the familiar tone of Senator De Poli's greeting on the phone, a fellow countryman, evinces the custom of a long common history.
The President of the Veneto Region, Dr. Luca Zaia, also congratulated the Olivo family on their achievement in a letter, while the Ascom Confcommercio of Padua through Enrico Baggio, president of the Cittadella section, presents an award to the Olivo Tappeti company.
Parish priest Don Fabrizio Ziliotto suggests meditation on the value of man's work, as heir to the creative force of the Divine, and invites us to share the prayer of the Lord's Prayer, at once simple and profound.

Certainly by the emotions it aroused in the participants, by the feeling of well-being it conveyed to those present, but also by the quality of the memory it left behind.
